Most people are asking us what exactly is it, what does it do and why do we need one. Heres our guide to phone spying and how to prevent it.

Back in 2015 Edward Snowdon released some very revealing information with regards to government phone hacking. It was suspected by many people beforehand but there was never any hard ‘proof’. Essentially, GCHQ is reported to have spent $1 billion on developing new techniques for phone hacking. With ease they can access your entire phone. This includes reading/listening to your calls and texts but also goes much further. They can turn your phone on and off, listen through the microphone, take photos on your camera etc all in the background without you knowing.

Its is also a well known fact that your location can be pinpointed from your phone location, even if to is turned off. A common myth is that is you turn your phone off & remove the battery you can be off grid and untraceable. Unfortunately this is a myth. Your location can be tracked even with the sim card and battery removed. This means that is you planned of keeping your phone with you when heading off grid you could soon become unstuck.

What the Cellbok case does is stop all signals coming through the case. It means that the signals being released enabling you to be traced are completely blocked rendering you untraceable. When a phone is switched off or powered down and the battery removed, RFID tracking technology enables networks to use signals to energise the chip in the phone and give the chip enough energy to relay a signal back. If the chip cannot receive a signal then the return signal frequency function is neutralised. Cellblok ‘Total’ ensures that no signal reaches the phone and in addition no signal is sent from the phone or any of its components.

The tech bits:

Blocking technology

The blocking material is radiated by the ‘electromagnetic’ signals from the GPS/GSM network. When signals hit the minute fibres in the protective fabric a miniature field is created around the fibres which then shields all subsequent signals . This then prevents all data entering or leaving the Cellblok.

Unique neutralisation of secondary frequencies

Cellblock is unique in that it prevents the creation of what are called ‘secondary’ frequencies. These are frequencies that are created when Electromagnetic radiation hits other blocking surfaces such as silver foil, metal casing etc. This is why solid blocking surfaces are not able to provide the same degree of security that ‘Cellblok’ can. Secondary frequencies can be used to determine GPS locations and other private information.

Warning! Beware of cheap blocking cases claiming to block tracking systems.

What systems/frequencies does it block?

Cellbok ‘Total’ blocks signals that can be used for tracking. These operate in the microwave region of 430MHz – 5.8GHz and comprise mainly of GPS ad GSM systems, but there are others not in the public domain.
