The riser and bolt track has all been CNC machined from a high grade aluminium to ensure maximum strength at all times. The ali construction also means its extremely lightweight allowing you to quickly aim and shoot in fast paced situations. As well as this it has a reinforced composite stock with a cheek piece allowing perfect eye to scope alignment all the time. The 225lb limbs are constructed from compressed fiberglass which delivers smooth and consistent power to increase accuracy and provide a pleasurable shooting experience. The EK Archery Desert Hawk fires 20" crossbow bolts.

Its a beast.
This crossbow is a real beast, quite heavy but very well balanced, being only 5'8" tall I couldn't cock it with the rope, so I bought a crank cocking device, it works superbly, the stock of the crossbow is really positive to hold with a camo coating that aids grip and feels cool and soft to the touch, it is shaped so well that it blends in with your shoulder like it was custom made, on aim the balance makes the weight seem only half as it brings it back into the shoulder and sits just right, the trigger pull is a bit too hard for my liking as I'm used to high end air rifles, but you do get used to it after a while, as you pull the trigger over the cam the bolt leaves the rail with a jolt like a shotgun, then you feel the whole 225lb of the beast, the bolt is in the target ( sunk up to the vanes at 40 yards ) as you feel the recoil, its as fast as that, then its back to the cocking device and start again, all in all this is a great crossbow, powerful and so very fast, its a kick in the shoulder and a shock through your ribs of pure fun but with a really serious heavy hunting crossbow, yes its a real beast, but I really love it.
